Roby Yonge was well known on WQAM, Miami, where he worked with Rick Shaw in the early 1960's. Later he joined WABC, New York, where he worked with Herb Oscar Anderson and Dan Ingram.

In Miami he was well known on the beach - and on the air - as "The Big Kahuna". He taught Bob Todd how to surf at South Beach in Miami. It was the most exciting and wonderful of times - worth reliving over and over....so -
