Happy Independence Day

<

Grampaw left the heat in the hills to do a little Bay Watching around San Francisco over the holiday. With new camera in hand, I browsed around the old stamping grounds. Here's my report:

Super baseball day for the Whitney boys!

In Burlingame, Jason did some powerful releif pitching for the San Mateo
Orioles on Wednesday and they beat the pants off Burlingame 10 to 1.

The Orioles are part of the American Legion Baseball League.
The
San Mateo Daily Journal reported that Jason Whitney
pitched three shutout innings of relief.

Manwhile, Peter was playing with another San Mateo team against Palo Alto at Baylands Park in PA. They won 4-3 and Inside Bay Area.com reported: "Peter Whitney took over pitching duties to start the fifth and retired six of the next seven batters, with three strikeouts."

Peter's exciting tournement was to continue on Saturday.
AND IT DID
David sends a report of the excitement.
